Some compact pickup trucks have irregularly shaped bed walls with indentations that can make it difficult to place the standard Quick Latch brackets that come with each Bed Extender. First, this set of two L-shaped brackets are mounted directly on your truck walls, then the standard Quick Latch brackets are attached to the L-shaped brackets. Because the Quick Latch brackets are now facing the proper direction, the bed extender assembly can be placed on them for normal use.
